THE BUBBLE DIAGRAM

I came up with a design where the shop manifested itself more of guest areas then non guest areas. The guest areas are in blue and non guest areas are in beige. The black lines represent the connection between them.

THE ADJACENCY MATRIX

This shows what areas correspond with each other. The guest areas is adjacent to the cash counter. The kitchen is adjacent to the office, cash wrap, dry storage,cooler and freezer.Restrooms are not adjacent to the kitchen of guest seating.

THE FLOOR PLAN

The front entrance is all tinted glass besides a few stained glass triangular cutouts.There are six tables that can seat two 2 to 4 guest.Two big octagon shape tables that can seat up to 6.Cash wrap and display is placed in the middle of the shop for customers to view.A mini lounge area for laptops and studying with curtain dividers.A guest lounge area that can seat up to 15 people with the bathrooms near and out of sight.Office, cooler and freezer are all connected together.Traffic flow though out the space is easy and clear.

 THE CASH WRAP

I used red walls to trick you mind in thinking you are hungrier then what you really you are. Track lighting lights up the menu, which will attract customers eyes to the menu and our beautiful custom sign. The cash wrap has a black lacquer finish with triangular glass cutouts with tasty filled ingredients. My elevation shows sprinkles, chocolate batter, chocolate chips with powdered sugar and caramel crystal candy. In the display case, 3 row of cupcakes are shown as well as glazed doughnuts. Counter tops and door framing is all stainless steel so last over time.

 THE GUEST LOUNGE

The lounge is a good place to chat with friends, spend time with that special someone or just an area to chill-lax! The walls are painted with a dark grey for a relaxed feel. The pendant lighting is recyclable light bulbs and cords made together to create a unique lighting fixture. The sofas and chairs are backed with a modern geometric print to bring in the colors throughout the shop and the geometric shaped that is in the front entrance and cash wrap. The seat is lined with black leather from Maharam.com.
